The vineyards of Cascina Garitina are located in the heart of Monferrato, and are mainly dedicated to the production of Barbera d'Asti: a great classic of Piedmont.
Cascina Garitina is a family farmhouse company founded in 1900, that decided to dedicate its work to the revitalization of the Barbera d’Asti, a vine that represents the majority of the vineyards included in the estate and to which the best sun exposed territories are reserved.
At the moment, the person in charge of preserving the cultivation and the production is Gianluca Morino, the great grandchild of the woman that in 1900’s bought the first vineyard, from which the brand took the name and to which a wine is also dedicated.
The vineyards are in the heart of the Alto Monferrato. In the last years was concluded a remarkable improvement in the quality of the vineyard (short pruning, thinning, sod seeding) to get a more concentrate and integral grape for wines with strong personality and respectful of our “Terroir”.
The manual cultivation of the vineyard and the scrupulous attention of the vinery work, increase the quality of the wines and guarantee an excellent evolution of wine inside the bottle.
