Deve il proprio nome ai secolari cedri del Libano presenti nel parco di Villa Pattono che fronteggiano i vigneti. È stato il primo vino bianco della cantina Renato Ratti e proviene da un piccolo vigneto di poco meno di un ettaro di superficie.
