Truffles and truffle specialties from the heart of the Langhe!
Sunday Bertolusso and Beppe Montanaro, company founders, started their business in the world of the truffle in 1968, selling fresh truffles of Piedmont. In those years, their restaurant "Da Beppe", located in the heart of the city of Alba, was reported by the Michelin guide as a reference point for lovers of fine cuisine based on mushrooms and truffles. Tartuflanghe was born in 1980 to harness the creativity and culinary experience Beppe, gained through a training program of great prestige: Chef Saucier on cruise ships, hotel school instructor, cook in the more established restaurants serving typical Piedmontese and then owner of the renowned restaurant.
The first truffle specialties were created to give the opportunity to all lovers of good food to taste the truffles out of season. It was this insight that in 1990 in the workshops of Tartuflanghe was created the first pasta with truffle ever produced in the world (awarded in 1992 at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York as the best new product of the year), the "Tartufissima", which literally wants to indicate the superlative form of the nose. After the noodles with truffles followed the prepared risotto, polenta with truffle fondue. Tartuflanghe now offers more than 100 different recipes: a wide range of Italian specialties and truffle products produced through careful selection of raw materials used. The quality is guaranteed by professionals employed in the various phases of production, from respect for tradition and local methods combined with innovation and technology.
