Description
Sarmassa Barolo is grown on a rather steep south-east facing hill.

Here the soil dates back to the Helvetian age: it is calcareous and clayey, very compact and with many stones and gravel.

The high number of stones, together with the presence of clay, limits the growth of the vine thus allowing the grapes to reach complete maturation.

Tasting _Profumo intenso con netto sentore di rosa di macchia, vaniglia, liquirizia e spezie. Sfumata la resina di pino ed il tabacco. Il gusto è pieno ed elegante, di buon corpo, con tannino in evidenza.
Winemaking _Travasato in tini di cemento vetrificato, il vino mantiene a lungo la temperatura postfermentativa di circa 22° C
