The name comes from a small vineyard near the Church of Castagnole Monferrato, planted in 1964 by Don Giacomo Cauda in 1964, considered the father of Ruchè. Even today, the grapes used for this wine come from the first vineyard planted, as well as the oldest existing vineyard at the time.Fine and persistent, it is distinguished by its ruby red colour with light violet reflections that, with ageing, turn into bright orange.
