Mazzetti d'Altavilla's Liquorice is made by infusing liquorice roots in the soft aged grappa for 40 days and continually stirring them to yield the most intense and persistent notes of the herbaceous plant to the distillate.

The result is overwhelming, and the alcoholic impact is mitigated by a low alcohol content, which is even more pleasant when tasted cold.

To create a distillate that would allow you to perceive all the aromas of the sweet Piedmontese reliefs, the Mazzetti d'Altavilla Distillery was inspired by an ancient elixir of thirteen herbs, berries and roots. Amaro Gentile brings with it all the traditional flavored and digestive scents of our hills. Part of the herbs is macerated for twelve months in Aged Moscato Grappa and the remainder is infused in alcohol, together with orange and lemon zest. Sage, marjoram, gentian roots and even thyme are clearly perceived.
